MARYN RENEE CHRISTENSEN

Hi! My name is Maryn Renee Christensen, and I am an actor, dancer, and singer from St. George, Utah. I grew up behind the scenes helping my mom with sets or costumes, but I truly enjoyed being on stage. I have been able to perform for Tuacahn Amphitheater, Sundance Summer Theatre, and many other theaters in Utah. 

 

Although my typecast is somehow either 9-year-olds or birds, I really have loved my opportunities to portray characters of all kinds in ensembles. Some favorites include Finch in Newsies at Sundance and covering the Pepper and July tracks in Annie at Tuacahn Amphitheater. At Tuacahn, I fell in love with swing and understudy work because I love the idea of something new and fresh every show. 

 

I graduated with my BFA in Musical Theatre from Utah Valley University, and I had a personal focus on children’s theatre and youth education because of the training I was able to have in the arts growing up. I love performing and teaching for children because they are the most honest audiences. 

 

When not on stage, you can find me tucked away with my sewing machine stitching up a new quilt, working on not killing my garden, or reading up on the newest Hello Kitty news!
